We're looking for Pacific choreographers, dancers and makers to bring work to the 2027 Pacific Dance Festival. Expressions of interest close on 15 December 2026.
The Pacific Dance Festival brings Pacific dance in Aotearoa together: new work, bold ideas, and the stories we carry in our bodies. For 2027, we want to hear from artists ready to share work on our stage, whether you're emerging or established, and whether your practice is traditional, contemporary or somewhere in between.
Who can apply
- Pacific choreographers, dancers, companies and collectives based in Aotearoa and the wider Pacific
- New works, works in development, community and youth projects
- Pacific-led artists and collectives, or projects with genuine Pacific collaboration. You can be emerging or established, and your work can be stage-ready or still in development.
Streams
- Full-length works (45–70 minutes)
- Short works (10–20 minutes)
- Works-in-progress / MOANA Showcase
- Workshops / Talanoa
- Community and whānau events
- Dance on Screen
What we offer
If your work is selected, Pacific Dance New Zealand may provide:
- Curatorial guidance
- Limited producing and technical support
- Platforming and marketing through our festival channels
- Connections to venues and partners
Support varies by stream and isn't guaranteed at EOI stage.

• Connection with audiences and communities, including access considerations
• A feasible scale and technical needs
• A realistic budget and timeline
